Early Fall Photographs

Rain has polished canoes nobody wants to rent.
The distaff side of autumn.

Brown leaves fall earliest, having collected none of summer's colors.
A spider web has been inundated by days of rain.

This fall color ends up in the mud, like all of us.

A morning glory has been beaten up by rain.

A path to the overflowing creek.

An empty pavilion longs for picnickers.
A tree plants its roots firmly in the picnic grounds.

Canoes say good-bye to summer and await spring.
